What is the Edmentum Study Island Chromebook Challenge?
The Edmentum Study Island Chromebook Challenge is an opportunity for an educator using Study Island to win a Chromebook by completing an activity in Study Island and posting to Facebook or Twitter.
Winners will be randomly selected.
The challenge will run for four weeks, and each week has a theme. Enter each week with a post based on that week’s theme for up to four chances to win.
The Weeks Challenges are:
Week 1: April 19, 2020 - April 25, 2020
Challenge: Host a Challenge or Race Mode Group Session and post a picture of the Leaderboard with the student nicknames. Post the image to Facebook or Twitter with one to two sentences describing how and why you and your students use Group Sessions in a fully virtual environment and use #StudyIsland2020 and @edmentum.
Week 2: April 26, 2020 – May 2, 2020 Challenge: Explore the Content Search feature and use it to create an assignment for your students. Take a screenshot or picture of the assignment from the content search area or class manager. Post the image to Facebook or Twitter with one or two sentences describing how assignments help you support virtual learning and use #StudyIsland2020 and @edmentum.
Week 3: May 3, 2020 – May 9, 2020 Challenge: Explore the Teacher Toolkit and take a picture or screenshot of your search or a resource that you plan to use. Post the image to Facebook or Twitter with one to two sentences describing how you will use the resources in the Teacher Toolkit and use #StudyIsland2020 and @edmentum.
Week 4: May 10, 2020 – May 16, 2020 Challenge: Explore Test Builder and build a test for your students. Take a picture or a screenshot of Test Builder while you build your test. Post the image to Facebook or Twitter and one or two sentences describing the test you are creating and how it supports virtual learning and use #StudyIsland2020 and @edmentum.
How do I enter?
To enter, simply complete the challenge for the current week. Don’t forget to use #studyisland2020 and tag Edmentum by using @edmentum in your post so that your post will be counted.
Who can enter?
Any educator (18 and older) at a school that is currently using Study Island.
How is the winner determined?
One winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries for the week.
What is the prize?
One educator each week will win a Chromebook.
What does it cost to enter?
There is no cost or purchase necessary, the challenge is free to enter and win. Any additional advertisement, prizes, or incentives provided by a school or district are at the sole discretion and expense of that school or district.
When will the winners be notified?
Winners will be notified on the Monday after the week in which they win.
